On Verizon, it’s called the LG Vortex, on T-Mobile it;s the Optimus T, on Sprint it’s the Optimus S. You get the idea.

The LG Optimus Net is not much different from the Optimus One, but it does improve upon its older brother in two key places:  processor and Android version. The Optimus Net is packing an 800MHz processor, compared to the Optimus One’s 600MHz CPU. It’ll also launch with Android 2.3.3 preloaded, whereas the Optimus One is still running Froyo. So if you can’t wait to get your hands on a free, snappy and awesome little Android phone, you won’t have to wait much longer.

Unlocked LG Triptych Concept Cell Phone Review

A new concept phone is available ,its the unlocked LG Triptych Concept Phone. The natural progression of technology is to begin integrating useful gadgets into more dexterous devices, and LG Triptych is a typical example of that. The most interesting feature of this device would be the fact that it can be transformed in a small tablet PC, which would make it fit for more than just usual phone usage.
The LG Triptych Concept Phone would sport a foldable design, with two auxiliary touchscreen displays included into the mix in addition to the main screen. Designed by Edward Hale as an LG competition entry, this sleek and succinct piece communicative equipment will present a larger surface for ease of touchscreen typing and improved interface for experiencing visual media. The unlocked LG Triptych Concept Phone will be compact, convenient and one of the most clever handsets invented to date.
When unfolded, the screens would join together in a larger display, making the resemble tablet PC, better fit for reading books, watching movies, or surfing the Internet. The handset would run under an operating system that could offer support for both phone and tablet modes, and dual boot capabilities might also be an option.Of course, since this is only a concept design, we can imagine that the handset would run under one of the most popular platforms today, such as Android, Symbian or Windows Phone. The Triptych concept design shows a very slim-bodied phone featuring one phone screen and two additional screens that fold out from behind to form the tablet screen. Imagine how awesome it would be if they used AMOLED technology for this.

It’s also interesting to think about what OS it would use since it can switch back and forth between phone and tablet. Perhaps it can dual booth phone and tablet operating systems.

HP TouchPad Tablet Review

hp touchpad
In fact, it's a highly tactile and solid-feeling, if not weighty, device and – here's the shocker – we really, really like it. And if it can undercut the iPad on price? Then it's a serious contender.HP representatives were obviously coy on price but, for the record, we don't think it will be as cheap as the iPad (not that the iPad is cheap).HP webOS 3.0 seems like a superb interface and one that might well withstand the Android 3.0 Honeycomb onslaught. But, we must say, that there's still a little work to be done. When changing the orientation of the tablet it doesn't respond instantly. There's a pause with Honeycomb, but the TouchPad takes a lot longer.
And though it might not be a huge amount of time, it's these little things you notice when comparing webOS to Honeycomb and iOS.
The new tablet looks far better than it does in many photos and isn't as plasticky as it might appear. Here it is in the wireless charging dock (more details on the tech involved later).
There is a clever wireless pairing tech involved – it's the same Touchstone tech that's used in wireless charging for the Palm Pre. Hold the new Pre3 to the TouchPad's physical button and it will 'take' the web page that you have on the screen so you can continue to use it on your phone if you move off.Messaging is also extremely good, while the email is laid out really nicely. Each new mail you write opens as a new card so, if you want to, you can leave a card and return to it later.
Again the Messaging also works with your HP phone handset if you have one. Receive a text on your Pre3 or Veer and it will appear on your TouchPad.Photos are also a great experience – there's full Facebook integration (presumably more services will be supported at launch). You can also add Facebook comments from the image window. Our colleagues at T3.com grabbed some HP TouchPad video footage which you can watch below.
The webOS cards system works fantastically well on the tablet and the multitasking is wonderfully fluid. It's great to be able to flick cards on and off the screen and move between them. The operating system will need better support for developers though.

Unlocked Nokia E61i cell phones Review

You all know Unlocked Nokia E61i cell phones – it’s been among the most popular Nokia smartphones ever since it was presented. Its fans have always been divided over it not having a camera. Taking that into account Nokia decided to release an updated version of the handset marked with “i”. Besides a camera, the new model features a number of small modifications, or otherwise upgrades, which would again reinstate it as a top-notch smartphone messenger. Now join us on our journey which would try to answer a good deal of questions for you… and for us, for that matter.Right from the start the Nokia E61 was a successful model that made itself a nice group of dedicated fans. Not having a camera was obviously not a big deal for those guys. Even now in workplaces where information confidentiality is strictly guarded, cameraphones are simply not allowed.
The E61i is thinner than the E61i by a small margin but is 11 cc smaller. The E61i has a better build quality over the E61i and possesses a rather stable and solid body. The keyboard has definitely got a few updates – first, the navigation joystick is replaced with a D-pad, which is a great choice by the way. Then there are two new shortcut keys – the Phonebook and My Own key. The My Own key is a customizable shortcut key that you can use for starting an application of your choice. The keys of the QWERTY keyboard have gotten just a notch smaller, but the space between them has increased. Furthermore their tactile feedback is far better on E61i than on the E61i. As a result the ergonomics of the QWERTY keyboard have greatly increased.
The business messenger market though realized that office workers and businessmen need an all-in-one tool that would allow them to work efficiently during the day and to have fun or just relax in the evenings and weekend. So essentially it has come to this that purely business handsets are gradually being equipped with more and more extra features such as a music player, a video player, a camera, etc. The market niche for such devices is fiercely competitive and it seems that our new Nokia has plunged into the deep with some other serious swimmers such as Palm Treo, Blackberry Pearl, Motorola Q, HTC S620, Sony Ericsson M600, Samsung i320, iMate JAQ plus several HP IPAQ products. And if you look at the details, the Nokia E61i is even functionally identical to Nokia E70

Key features:

  • Rich connectivity options - UMTS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, Infrared
  • Outstanding battery life
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • Messenger form factor with a full QWERTY keyboard
  • Really large 2.8” TFT display
  • Solid, metallic body
  • Symbian OS 9.1 S60 3rd Edition UI
  • microSD memory card slot

Main disadvantages:

  • Hefty weight
  • No HSDPA support
  • No secondary camera for video calls
  • S60 UI doesn’t come with Feature Pack 1

UNLOCKED NOKIA Eco Sensor GSM CELL PHONES REVIEW

The UNLOCKED NOKIA Eco Sensor GSM CELL PHONES concept is more of a two-for-one deal, as it would include a touchscreen smartphone and a wristband that collects data from both the wearer (health and wellness stats) and his/her surroundings. The wristband is also solar powered, and can talk to the smartphone via NFC (Near Field Communication).

UNLOCKED NOKIA Morph GSM CELL PHONE

Designed by the University of Cambridge’s Nanoscience Center, the UNLOCKED NOKIA Morph looks like something out of Minority Report or iRobot. The Morph is solar-powered, flexible like the UNLOCKED NOKIA 888 and has self-cleaning surfaces, so even your sick friends can share in watching YouTube videos on the go.ne of two very different concept phones from Nokia, the Nokia Morph is a theoretical future device based on nanotechnology to give it a flexible body with a transparent display that could be re-shaped depending on the user’s needs. The concept is currently a theoretical one only, and is the result of research between Nokia and the University of Cambridge.

Featured in The Museum of Modern Art â€Å“Design and The Elastic Mind” exhibition, the Morph concept device is a bridge between highly advanced technologies and their potential benefits to end-users.
Even the electronics inside it would be transparent and flexible, so the whole phone may be twisted and stretched into bracelet shapes or tablet form, and nanotech cleverness means it would even clean itself.
Morph concept technologies might create fantastic opportunities for mobile devices:
* Newly-enabled flexible and transparent materials blend more seamlessly with the way we live
* Devices become self-cleaning and self-preserving
* Transparent electronics offering an entirely new aesthetic dimension
* Built-in solar absorption might charge a device, whilst batteries become smaller, longer lasting and faster to charge
* Integrated sensors might allow us to learn more about the environment around us, empowering us to make better choices
