This is supposedly the LG Flip II for T-Mobile -- the same handset tipped by This is my next back in May and then captured in the flesh by Pocket-lint in mid-June, albeit in the UK. Well now we have solid evidence that the innovative dual-screened device is indeed coming to T-Mobile US, though its retail branding remains a mystery (as do the majority of its specs). According to This is my next, we'll be seeing the Flip II -- which seems to be a sequel to nothing, although there's likely a current-gen phone codenamed simply Flip -- on precisely September 14th. We're not sure what to expect from the secondary display dividing the keyboard -- we suspect it'll perform a variety of functions ranging from simple info-bearing widgets to application-speicific controls.
the first time we’ve heard of such a device, this is the most detail we’ve had in photos. What we’ve got here is a dual-screen slider smartphone device made by LG, utilizing some form of Android, and carried by T-Mobile. This device will most than likely use its lower smaller touchscreen to hold a drawer of apps along with whatever else developers find themselves developing into the platform.
