It’s been revealed through a series of leaked pictures that the Galaxy S Mini is actually called the Ace. Despite losing its Galaxy S name, there’s still much to like about the Samsung GALAXY Ace. The phone, which model name is S5830, does look like a miniaturized version of the UNLOCKED Galaxy S5830.

The phone sports a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen with 320 x 480 resolution, Wi-Fi b/g/n, a 5-megapixeal rear camera with LED flash, 1,350mAh battery and HSDPA capability. The Ace is expected to ship with Froyo and it will be powered by an 800MHz processor.

From the leaked pictures, we can see how relatively tiny the phone is. The Ace is adorned by several buttons, but the search button is notably missing.

It seems the leaked pictures came from the website of Samsung Indonesia, but we’re pretty sure that it will be released internationally. It is only a matter of time before we get to hear more about the phone as the Mobile World Congress is just right around the corner.
