SONY ERICSSON makes an attempt for those who feel that they need to reply text messages as well as email in the fastest time possible, hence the aptly named TXT PRO messaging HANDSET. Supporting Wi-Fi connectivity, it will let you access your email at places where there are wireless hotspots (free or otherwise), while sporting a four corner touch based user interface that is inspired from the XPERIA MINI range. Touted to be released later this third quarter, we still have no idea on how much this puppy will cost. As for the other hardware SPECIFICATIONS, the SONY ERICSSON TXT PRO will sport a sliding keyboard, a 3.2-megapixel camera that doubles up as a webcam, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 3.2inch TFT color display at 400 x 240 resolution. Though the keyboard is generally fine, it could do with a few more navigation keys. There are occasions when you still need to tap on the screen to go up one level in a menu or to select an option. The QWERTY keypad doesn't take up the entire inside surface and there appears to be enough space for a directional pad and Back button. While it has some java apps for instant messaging, the social-networking icons in the menu for Facebook and Twitter are merely shortcuts to the services' Web sites on the browser. We would have preferred standalone apps as they typically come with a better interface and are faster.
