BUY ONLINE ASUS TRANSFORMER Reviews

Asus transformer
The long-awaited Asus Transformer, a design which adds a second battery and netbook-like keyboard to a powerful Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet, might be hard to get hold of for a while, with a report claiming that parts shortages will lead to a production shortfall.
The Transformer impressed us during our hands-on review, and while it struggles to match up to the polish of Apple's popular iPad 2, it's a very well-made piece of kit - and the docking station's additional battery pushing sixteen hours of usable life from the device is extremely impressive indeed. Having a physical keyboard, too, is not something to be sniffed at - and is likely to please anyone who has done extended text entry on a tablet's on-screen keyboard in the past.
Sadly, it looks like Asus is having a few problems meeting demand for the device. According to a Chinese-language report from Apple Daily, echoed and translated byDigiTimes, the company is concerned that shortages of the components required for the tablet's touch-screen may lead to it only fulfilling 50 per cent of its 200,000 orders in April.
While production is likely to ramp up in May and June, it leaves the company with a major production shortfall - and the risk that consumers unable to get their hands on the device opt for a rival tablet instead of waiting.
